Ever since Carlos Boozer and D-Will have been playing so well the past few seasons, people have been throwing out the big comparison to Karl Malone and John Stockton. I was thinking about that the other day and I had the thought (Maybe we don't want them to be like Stockton and Malone.) They were great players, but obviously not great enough to win the NBA title. See if this sounds familar when comparing the vintage Stockton and Malone playoff scenario that happened over and over with what happened this year.....A great power forward who dominates everyone in the regular season and then chokes when it really counts in the playoffs. A point guard who does really well in the regular season and steps it up in the playoffs, but doesn't take the initiative to the full extent that he should because he wants to give 'the power forward' his chance to prove himself. Sound familar?
I thought that D-Will could and should have been more agressive at times against the Lakers. He played great and Boozer only had one great game the entire playoffs. It sounds to me a little too much like Stockton and Malone. If we want a championship we don't want another Stockton and Malone, we want a Boozin' D-Will.

Yeah, i'm sick of everybody trying to compare players to past players. you're right Paul, we need Williams and Boozer to be different than past Jazz players.
